The Real Test of a Network, What are the Odds of staying online 110 years?

How reliable is your slow network?  While copying a file I saw the below message.  Yes, my copy of about a DVD worth of data is going to take 110 year, 40,248 days and 20 hours.

Obviously something is wrong with my network or my PC when this is happening, but why even bother telling me that my file is going to take that long?  There is zero likelihood that the PC will stay up that long.  I would accept any number of days less than 365 as possible, but more than that something is going to cause a failure.
