Michael Bay and HD-DVD vs BluRay

Michael Bay was going to protest Transformers not being on Blu-ray by not doing Transformers 2, well he had a change of heart…

His post on Shoot for the edit:

Last night at dinner I was having dinner with three blu-ray owners, they were pissed about no Transformers Blu-ray and I drank the kool aid hook line and sinker app wo man alles kostenlos herunterladen kann. So at 1:30 in the morning I posted – nothing good ever comes out of early am posts mind you – I over reacted. I heard where Paramount is coming from and the future of HD and players that will be close to the $200 mark which is the magic number os x el capitanen. I like what I heard.
As a director, I’m all about people seeing films in the best quality possible, and I saw and heard firsthand people upset about a corporate decision herunterladen.
So today I saw 300 on HD, it rocks!
So I think I might be back on to do Transformers 2!

That’s nice Michael, I’m glad you saw the light, but you missed the big thing here, HD-DVD is not inferior, but cheaper, it is in many ways superior and cheaper Download pictures with sayings for free.

The Deep Dark Secret in the HD-DVD vs BluRay battle is that you encode the same way for both formats.  The advantage HD-DVD has is that it requires the player to have 2 decoders so that it can do PIP and multi-angle which can be turned on and off, a feature Blu-ray lacks.  In some instances like Gone with the Wind, or Lord of the Rings, Blu-ray may have some advantages in that it allows you to store more things on the disc, but as HD-DVD is cheaper you likely just have to put the special features on a second disc which is still currently much cheaper to produce than a single BluRay fifa 20 ultimate edition.

Don’t get me wrong, I was a BluRay backer at one point, but the truth is that while the media is superior technology wise, it is a lot more expensive, and that makes the long term viability questionable.  HD-DVD’s can be produced with the same visual quality, in fact Superman Returns which was on both formats looks the same on both formats as the encodes are bit for bit the same.  It is possible that you would see slight differences depending on the quality of your player, but that is about the components in your player, and lots of times personal preference antivirus gratis downloaden.

Any of the features that were added after the standards, like “Deep Black” and support for AAC-Pro 10.2 could be added to either format, you just push that out the TOS-Link or Spdif so there isn’t even a hardware upgrade required bus simulator 18 kostenlosen.

This war is much less like the Beta vs. VHS war, because Beta was superior, and more expensive, HD-DVD is not inferior, but is cheaper.
