Peer to Peer (p2p) is the New Red Herring Threat to National Security

“Idiot at Pentagon mistakingly shares confidential documents on Napster”

Fear Uncertainty and Doubt or FUD as it is so lovingly referred to by people with brains, is a favorite weapon of Fortune 500 companies, governments, and mothers.  When the Nazi’s wanted to cleanse the Homeland of Jews they said the biggest threat to Homeland Security was the Jews and used FUD to rally people to that cause herunterladen.

When Homeland Security wants to stretch its powers to monitor Internet communications it uses FUD to point to technologies that most people don’t really understand. They do a good job of it too.

Recently retired General Wesley K aus google drive herunterladen. Clark, who is now a board member of Tiversa, a company that trawls P2P networks for sensitive information, said, “We found more than 200 classified government documents in a few hours search over P2P networks.  “We found everything from Pentagon network server secrets to other sensitive information on P2P networks that hackers dream about.”  And people listened, they thought to themselves hackers have classified documents that could fall in to terrorist hands, that sounds scary plants vs zombies 2 kostenlosen vollversion.

What is more likely.  The IT guy at one of the government office installed eMule or another Peer2Peer client on his machine and told it to share his whole drive free chess game to download.

It sounds much less menacing when you say, “Idiot at Pentagon mistakingly shares confidential documents on Napster”

Much like the credit records that end up on the Internet, the biggest threat to National Security, is National Stupidity.  We have a bunch of careless, under-trained workers who have more access than brains who just want their free music.

Quite literally if we gave every Government and Bank Employee a Zune, and a free subscription to music we would have a much safer country vm ware herunterladen.

Have the IT administrators for these organizations not heard of Group Policy Objects? Firewalls? CleanSlate or Fortress would even make this better kun je op een laptop apps downloaden.

Clark suggested regulation and mandatory defensive active monitoring programs, especially for sensitive government documents. “If everyone knew the scope of the risk of P2P networks, America would be outraged and demand solutions windows 7 professional german free full version. If you wait for the lawsuit, you have waited too long,” he said.

How does one make monitoring mandatory with out tipping your hand that things are out there?  I mean I only learn what I can “hack” because the news tells me.  By searching for classified documents you would give hints about what was out there worth stealing herunterladen.
