With 4 Million copies of Halo 3 shipped to retailers, and an average price of $63 a copy, there is $252 million dollars worth of Halo in stores for Launch day. Microsoft expects to sell about three quarters that amount in the first 24 hours somewhere around $160 Million. Halo 2 did $126Million its first week, and with significantly more Xbox 360’s in circulation than there were Original Xbox at the time of the Halo 2 Launch, and the higher price for the title Microsoft could see numbers approaching $200million their first week pip camera herunterladen.
From a profit standpoint $10million of that is already blown on advertising, but that is a drop in the bucket for the bandwidth that comes from the live action ads Microsoft has created for the Halo "Believe" campaign poison bait app.
I’m personally more excited about John Woo’s Strangle Hold, but Suiting up as an Elite in Halo 3 does appeal as well.
Dean Takahashi said on NPR Monday that Halo 3 was the most innovative product Microsoft has developed, and while I don’t agree, I think to date it will easily be the product with the largest first week profitability, far surpassing Windows Vista, or Office 2007 herunterladen.
