www.jailbreakme.com Would you Trust your $400 device to run hacked software?
Jailbreakme.com is the equivalent of a ModChip for your Xbox. It allows you to run Unsigned code on your ipod Touch or iphone.
While there is nothing specifically dangerous about the JailBreakme.com software, you never know what a bug in someone’s hacked together software may do to your device.
Catching a virus or trojan on your phone that causes it to dial a 900 number at 3 am could cost you a fortune, more than just damaging the device.
On an ipod touch you would have less risk, but it still seems that the benefit might not cover the risk. I worry about anything that crashes one thing to install another.
