Wordpad for Windows 7 is Cool but still no Spell Check
Windows 7 Wordpad has gotten a major face lift and looks a lot like MS Word’s main screen. You now get page lay out options, margins, and Zoom functions that were never there before. But Wordpad.exe still lacks Spell Check. While Live Writer has spell check and is free, it won’t save to a .doc file. So if you edit in Live Writer and post to Wordpad you get the best of both.
Word pad doesn’t support add-ins so you can’t add this functionality after market, but Microsoft Works is cheap.
