My Criteria for Who I Follow on Twitter

When I am trying to decide who gets a slice of my attention for Twitter, my criteria is as follows.

  1. Do I know you.
  2. Does someone I know, Follow you.
  3. Do you have more followers than people you are following.
  4. Do you have at least 100 tweets, with no more than 33% links.

Once I am following you… There are other things that determine if I stick with you.

These are just my guidelines but they are a good general rule for evaluating who you should follow, and how to keep followers you get.
