ZillionTV will announce Monday that it has completed a deal with Paramount.
Not wanting to be the only one not at the party Paramount has agreed to a content deal with struggling ZillionTV. Those close to the deal say that ZillionTV completed a deal which includes warrants for the later purchase of stock in ZillionTV, based on an undisclosed current valuation of the company.
Paramount is testing the waters of Ad Supported or AVOD titles available from its classic library. More recent purchases will be available in the traditional rental model, for prices in line with iTunes and Xbox Live Video Marketplace.
Content Availability sheets in the deal are similar to those offered to Xbox and iTunes, and are contingent on ZillionTV passing some verification of the security of their network, Set Top Box, and implementation of Verimatrix DRM.
