On Jason Calacanis’ show This Week in Startups, he announced a special offer for Audible.com/thanksgiving. He then asked people to tweet out the deal with the #Twist hashtag on Twitter about the Audible special offer. It isn’t an offer code or coupon code type deal, but just simply go to the website and save money on using their service—which is nice.
This special deal for Audible.com has no strings attached and is completely free. Details are a little vague, but basically just like all the other Black Friday type deals on the Internet, you have to go to the website, signup and activate the deal. For this Audible.com/thanksgiving special offer in particular I believe all you have to do is go to their website this Sunday (or could be Thanksgiving Sunday not 100% sure) and then when you signup as a new Audible.com user you are entitled to a free audio book. That’s a great deal if you are looking to try audio books for a change.
And if you are not familiar with Audible.com, they are awesome. They basically sell audio books, newspapers, and magazines via digital downloads. They were bought by Amazon too so you know they have a solid product and real revenues.
So in short, if you are looking for another way to stuff yourself this turkey day, stuff it with a free audio book from Audible.com. Just remember to use the audible.com/thanksgiving URL and then when signing up check to see if you get the free audio book online.
And apologies to existing users of their service as I think this is only available to new members/users.
