After many long months, the Rihanna interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20 is here.

I remember when the story broke earlier in the year of how R&B pop star Chris Brown supposedly beat up fellow music star Rihanna. It was the hottest topic on the Internet and now Rihanna decided to break her silence by appearing in a made for tv interview with veteran journalist Diane Sawyer.

In the exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer, Rihanna explains why she wanted to come out and talk about what happened. She also wanted to break her silence in the hopes of helping other women who may be victims of domestic violence.

She also goes on to talk about the need to clear much of the speculation and rumors that were out in the media and Internet about the beating by Chris Brown.
