XpanD DLP Link 3D Shutter / Flicker Glasses Review

XpanD DLP Link 3D Shutter / Flicker Glasses are probably my favorite from a quality of the viewing experience, but the hard to replace batteries and the heavier weight of these, make them what I use for mastering, Stereoscopic video, not what I use for movie night. Although they are advertised to work directly with the TV, and wouldn’t need any additional hardware, some say that they couldn’t get them to work, and finally had to buy the Mits. 3dc-100 3d adapter unit. Not sure if it was the glasses or the buyer but the glasses may indeed require the adapter in order to work. However, the batteries for the glasses are proprietary, (meaning that you will have to buy more of them from XpanD) don’t seem to last as long as advertised, and the tool to remove the batteries breaks very easily, really poor design. They don’t have a good connection range, many times they loose the signal unless you are in the correct spot. The glasses also have no turn off switch and you have to make sure they are in a box or a place where there is no light detected or you will find yourself replacing many burnt out batteries. Would not recommend getting these glasses there are better options out there. XpanD does have style but not much else…
