How Do I Change My Default Adobe Program, So The Items Open Adobe Reader And Not Adobe Photoshop?
I know how to change the defaults so that items that are saved on my computer open in Adobe Reader vs Photoshop. I also know how to right click and openwith reader over an another adobe program. However, when trying to open some items in links/hyperlinks that are PDFs, my computer still opens them in photoshop. The default setting on my computer for PDFs, listed in the folder options, is set to open in Adobe Reader.
Answer:Right click on the PDF and choose Open With. Select Adobe Reader and check the box to always use this application, then press ok.
What Paint Technique For Faux Adobe Walls?
I am doing my livingroom Spanish style (not Mexico - Spain). After researching I can only find very few colors they used on the walls. Ocre is mainly outdoor but was also used on the interior and of course Adobe. I just hate having plain white walls so I am hoping to use a brownish color on the walls and whitewash with white. Does anyone have any experience with this? I could use the help I've never done this technique. I also dont know if maybe a different technique would better mimic adobe walls.
Thanks !
Answer:One thing you might do before painting is to texture the walls so that they look like adobe.
You'll need to get a box of drywall mud (comes in a 50 pound box), a stucco brush, a 6-inch spackle knife, a bucket to thin out the mud, and a drywall sanding screen (optional). Also, make sure to get lots of dropcloths, because this is a very messy procedure.
Scoop some mud into the bucket and dilute it with water until its the consistency of stirred mayonaise (not so much that it's runny, but enough that you can scoop it up with the stucco brush). Take a brush full of mud and fling it at the wall. It should stick to the wall and not run down the wall. If it's too runny, scrape it off with the spackle knife, put it back into the bucket, and add more mud to thicken it.
Fling the mud at the wall to cover it, but not completely. The mud will be the high points of the texture and where there is no mud will be the low point. When the wall is covered, let it sit and dry for about 15 minutes.
Lightly drag the spackle knife across the blobs of mud to flatten them. Go in different directions in different areas of the wall so as not to create a definite pattern. When you're done, let it dry for a couple of days. After it's dry, you can lightly sand it with a drywall sanding screen to smooth out rough edges or just leave it rough. If you sand it, brush it off with a soft broom to remove the dust. Prime and paint.
It's really a lot easier than it sounds, once you get the hang of how to do the splattering of mud and the knockdown (flattening) technique. And, it really gives a great adobe-like texture.
How Can I Insert An Entire Adobe Document Into A Microsoft Word Document, Preserving The Entire Adobe Document?
I need to insert and Adobe pdf file into a microsoft word document. I tried copy and paste, but it only puts in the words. I tried a snapshot, but that only does one page at a time.
Answer:You can only put it in as a picture. You cannot put in the actual text unless you copied and paste, as you said you tried. So here it is, I do it all the time at work:
Go to your Adoba File and hit Save As
Save it as a "JPEG" document file, not an Adobe file. (where it says "Save as Type" under "File Name")
Then go into your Word Document, into a new page.
Click "Insert", "Picture", "From File"
Find where you saved the pictures as (they will have saved as separate images per page. Meaning, page 1 will be one image, page 2 a separate image)
Hit the control key to select multiple pages at a time (unless you want to do each page for each page).
Then hit "Insert"
They will show up in the alphabetical order they show up in your file selection, each on their own page for each individual page you have saved from the Adobe File.
That is how to do it. If it doesn't work for you or I wasn't very clear, post an update on your question and I will come back and try to get you more help if you need it. But I think I said it clear enough. But I'm no brilliant teacher :)
Make sure your PDF file looks good, like crop the outlines if you have to. It will look exactly in your Word Document as it does in Adobe.
How Can I Get My Adobe Flash Player Back On My Computer?
It kept saying that i needed the new adobe flash player to watch video's and do certain stuff. So i went to download the new one. And it said to remove all the old ones before downloading the new one. But now the new one won't download. The completion screen comes on and says its done. But i go to programs and its not there. And i still can't watch video's. How can i get my old one back? Or why won't the new one download?
Answer:Try a manual installation, that should be a choice when you try to download/install it.
