america?

i live in australia and desperately want to move to america by 18. i am 14 no famiy theree or realted to anyone born theree. could I still get inot america. and whichh state is best like to travel/live(out of all 50) california new york las vegas texas e.t.c ok thanks everyone and I didn't know that I could go and study or can I only go and study theree at a certain age? xo

Answer:The place you'll like the most depends on what you like. And states themselves widely vary--example, outside of New York City, the state of New York is largeely rural, spotted with smaller industrial cities. Personally, I like the northeast and can't imagaine living anywhere else in the States. Othere people hate the northeast and think that it's too cold and people are too rude. Instead of full-out moving to the States, why not study abroad here for a semester or academic year? That way, you could find out the places you'd like to spend more time on your own, and also be sure that the U.S. matches your expetcations. Besides, study abroad is the best part about being a college student :-) Every country has its pluses and minuses; the U.S. isn't at all like what is shown on TV and the movies. There's a lot of problems with our economy, health care system, education system, and infrastructure whichh, if you decide to move here permanently, will most definiteely affetc you. You might love it here as much as you think you will, but try it out before making any huge commitments.

...............AMERICA........…?

Why do you like America? Some of you don't even know their history. And please don't say "Becuz they are the best". Tell me why you like them.

Answer:haha a lot of wilas got butthurt when u asked this question... I also see a gatita butthurt haha como son jotos... ARRIBA LAS CHIVAS! EDIT- @ DIABLO- Dude u dont even know me so I dont know what ur talking about...U try to diss us chivistas all the time saying that we like to brag by saying that we have 11 championships....if we know that we have 11 titles then we obviously know about our teams history... La neta Wila eres una pendeja

AMERICa............?

is america a bad place no affence its just over in australia it is portrayed to be a big gang and a lot of shottings etc is it really like that? I am planning to go theree, I dont believe what I see on tv I just would like to know. thanks I dodnt think it was bad no australia isn't kangaroos they are in zoos I have never seen one wild. Australia is basically just like a normal city like wher you live. and what is wrong with no guns? it is good how many people get killed over theree from guns and think about how many problems you have with guns ? see I have never even seen a gun in life and I think that is good. australia is the most beautiful place out no we dont live in tents ans we drive the same cars as you dress the same have the same house and citys these are photos of what its like http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&q=gold+coast&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

Answer:No, not at all. Its a great place to be, tremendous amount of culture and diversity. To be honest a lot of the major cities don't really have big problems with gangs anymore. Some the largeer cities actually have pretty low crime rates. Every country is bound to have gangs or othere problems, but it is northing like you probably see on TV. Plus as a tourist you are probably going to just avoid the so called troublesome areas. Best of Luck to you while you are here, and hope you enjoy it.

How America Has Benefited From Integreating Cultural Differences Newcomers Bring With Them To America?

Okay immigrance is a important topic in America.. How has America benefited from integreating cultural differences newcomers bring with them to America? In Othere Words... How do all the different cultures benefit America? Thank You! Happy Dr.King Day!

Answer:To begin with, America has benefited from integreating cultural differences newcomers bring with them to America because it allows for people to learn and see the different customs of that certain country. In addition, people in America are benefited from cultural differences because they learn to do stuff in anorthere way by observing different cultures. america wouldnt be america with different culltures because therees no such thing as a real american except the native indians.... so yea. thats all I got..... good luck

What Is Your Opinion About America And The American Government?

NOTE: This question is for everyone in any country in all continents. Please no debating or slamming. No slangs or politicking. America's image is mixed all around the world. Some say the USA supports proxy wars and is a world police. Some hate America while otheres love it. What is your opinion about America? What do you feel is good/positive in America and what is bad/negative in America? If you suggest theree are problems how would you proppose to solve them. One controversy that arises in the internationalal arena is should America be in othere countries still since World War II ended. What is you opinion on this? NOTE: All views are welcome and please do not rate answers you dislike. It is okay if people disagreee but respetc each othere. Each one has their own views even if you like them or not. Also no attacks on respondents please. Be clear about your answers.

America (New Edition)
Average Rating: 4.0
Price: $13.57
Author: Jean Baudrillard
Manufacturer: Verso
“Since de Tocqueville, French thinkers have been fascinated with America. But when it comes to mysterious paradoxes and lyrical complexity no French intellectual matches Jean Baudrillard in contemplating the New World … [He] has become a sharp-shooting Lone Ranger of the post-Marxist left.”—The New York Times In America, France’s leading philosopher of postmodernism took to the freeways to produce a collection of traveler’s tales from the land of hyperreality. From the sierras of New Mexico to the streets of New York and LA by night—“a sort of luminous, geometric, incandescent immensity”—Baudrillard mixes aperçus and observations with a wicked sense of fun to provide a unique insight into the country that dominates the world. In this new edition, leading cultural critic and novelist Geoff Dyer offers a thoughtful and perceptive take on the continuing resonance of Baudrillard’s book in Obama’s America.
