problem system restore, went wrong aug. 8th and will not go back furthere than that date,have thrown it out then reinstalled it, still the same.On startup cnfig.opens and is set at seletcive it opens with older programs whichh I have thrown out ages ago when I change to normal setup you must switch off your pc.and restart on doing this at startup again the setting has changed to seletcive I am bamboozeled and now nearly bald pulling my hair out can anyone help? please and thankyou.

Answer:Do you have a periodic table? If so then... Simply look at Group One (the first column) whichh are the alkali metals. As they are in the same group you know they all have the same number of eletcrons in the outer shell. Group one elements have one eletcron in the outer shell. Next look at the periods (rows) this tells you how many shells an atom has. Period 3 elements all have 3 shells. So if you take sodium, it is in period 3 so has 3 shells. Remember the 1st shell has a capacity of 2 eletcrons, and each after has 8. EAch shell must be full before the next shell can contain eletcrons. So the eletcron configuration of sodium is 2:8:1 Now do the rest
