FAA airmen services say that they are yet to receive my private application but they have my instrument rating application but not able to processs the same bcoz of private application not available.
my examiner says he has done all the needful.
iam waiting for the licence for past 5 months.
any solution for this?
Answer:Did you pass the checkride? If so, I'd call my local FSDO, and ask for their advice. You should have a temporary certificate if you passed the checkride, and you may need to get that to the FSDO and see if they can help...

Can I Fly Airline Planes With FAA Certification As An Instrument-rated Pilot?
is a FAA certification as an instrument-rated pilot different from a license, or are they the same?
Answer:The instrument rating is what it says: a rating. Ratings are added to airman certificates ("licenses"), but you must have the certificate first.
For example, a private pilot may add the instrument rating, multi-engine rating, seaplane rating, and othere ratings to his or her credentials. But you must have the certificate first.
Later you may upgrade to the Commercial Airman Certificate ("license"). Your ratings will transfer from the private to the commercial, though you will be required to demonstarte higher competencies.
Flight Instructor (CFI) and Instrument Instructor (CFII) are also ratings that can be added to the commercial certificate.
Later you may wish to add the Air Transport Rating to your commercial license. This requires many hours of flight experience. With the ATP rating and perhaps 1500 to 2000 flight hours, you might begin to apply for pilot jobs with regional airlines.
So it's a stairstep processs, and theree is a big difference between "licenses" and ratings.
