im getting an hdtv and i have comcast digital cable should i upgrade to comcast hd or get direct tv.........
Answer:I would get whatever costs the least. The only thing about a dish is that if the weather is gnarley, then there is that fuzzy picture you have to deal with.
Can You Really Notice The Difference Between HDTV And A Regular DVD?
My standard dvd player shows an amazing picture on my HDTV. I am getting an HD receiver next week and just wondering if the picture will be getting any sharper. I am told it will, but how is possible for the eyes to see anything sharper than a dvd?
For you people watching HDTV...Do you really see a difference between HDTV (HD source) and watching a regular DVD?
Answer:If I understand you correctly you are asking if the picture you will get with an HD receiver will be better than the picture you have gotten with a standard DVD player. The answer is that on channels that are in full HD showing a program in true HD, YES. Not all of the channels you will get are HD and not all of the programming on some HD channels are in true HD. But yes, the improvement will be quite noticeable on true HD sources.
How Do You Record Hdtv Programmes From The Tv And Upload It Onto A Computer?
Hey! I'm in the UK and have downloaded a few programmes that I can't get here and would like to know how to upload British shows for friends in the States.
Would like to know how to do in HDTV which includes the sound as well as the great picture quality, does anyone know how to do this at all?
I'm using a Mac by the way!
Many thanks in advance,
Stevie.
Answer:There are a number of HDTV (DVB-T) tuner cards available, and presumably some of them will plug into a Mac (I assume an x86 Mac?). However, you will need to get one that's compatible with whichever version of MacOS you are running.
Once you have a tuner card and the software that comes with it, you can set it up much like a VCR and have it record programs in mpeg-2 format. These files can then be sent to your friends in the U.S., but be warned that the files will be HUGE - multiple gigabytes.
What Is The Diference Between And Hdtv And An Hdtv Compatible Tv?
We have a ps3 and I have heard that we won't get the awesome graphics unless we have an hdtv. I've seen televisions at walmart that say hdtv on them that are only like two hundred dollars. Is this because it's not actually an hdtv? No way am I spending more then two hundred dollars on a tv for this thing.
Thanks for your help.
Answer:Well here's your answer. Either will work. Basically what you are comparing is a tv that has the ability to display an HD signal from another source (like a PS3 or a digital cable box), and a set that can retrieve HD signals from the air with an antenna. (HD-ready monitor and an HD Television respectively). If you buy an HD-ready set at Wal-Mart it wil work just fine if you are using a PS3 on it as long as you use the right hook-ups from the back of the PS3 to the back of the tv. The proper wires are known as Component RCA cables.
How Come I Cant Get My Hdtv To Show Hd Quality?
I bought a hitachi plasma 42 inch hdtv and just bought a hd box from suddenlink, but even after connecting everything the way it should be the channels that should broadcast in hd still look pretty bad. Do i need some type of antenna or something? Any help would be much appreciated.
Answer:Make sure the actual broadcast is in HD. Many channels are digital, but not always sending HD content.
Do not waste any money on cables.
