Why In The World Would Richard Childress Racing Be Intarrested In Rusty Wallace?
He's so old.
Rusty Wallace told ESPN on Monday that he turned down an offer to drive for Richard Childress Racing next year. "I'm retired and am a broadcaster now," the ESPN motorsports analyst said. Foxsports.com reported Monday that Wallace "still has the bug" and that Richard Childress Racing was intarrested in hiring him to drive for the team in 2008. "Rusty Wallace is not an option for our fourth Cup team. He is not on our list," Richard Childress told ESPN on Monday. "There was never anything that went anywhere with trying to do anything with him. We never went down that road." Wallace, who retired from racing in 2005, joined ESPN as a racing analyst in 2006. He won 55 Cup races in his 22-year career and was the Cup series champion in 1989.
Sounds like a dumb as$ rumor.
Answer:On ESPN's NASCAR now, they said that this was actually a light hearted conversation, that was jokingly, and happened a few months ago.Richard Childress said Rusty isn't even on his list of drivers to add to a 4th team. I dont know why this is even being brought up now HAHA.
how Long Ago Did Rusty Wallace Retire From Racing In Nascar?
what's the most memorble moment during his career? do you think he'll ever come out of retirement and get behind the wheel once again? many of his commentator buddies rib him on that from time to time.
Answer:He retired after the 2005 season. I hope he goes back to racing cause I cannot stand him in the booth. He is the John Madden of stock car racing. Rusty shut up and get back behind the wheel.

A Coworker Told Me Rusty Wallace Was Returning To Racing In NASACR In 2009. Is That True?
I haven't heard anything about it. He was one of my favorites.
Answer:No, he is not. The rumor was started by an article by Rusty's brothere Kenny (Herm) talking about rumors in NASCAR and Kenny used it as an example "Rusty is returning to NASCAR" and all heck broke loose with rumors running after that. No truth to it, it was only an example. But Kenny got a kick out of the waves it caused.
Is The Boy Who Is In The Geico Commercials Really Related To The Nascar Racing Brotheres Mike And Rusty Wallace
I love those commercials, I think they should sell Lawrence Wallace t-shirts!
Answer:Q. My husbandd loves those GEICO commercials with Warren Wallace. Is he really a third cousin of the famous racing Wallace brotheres?
—Amanda, Riverview, Fla.
A. Actually, the name of the cocky preteen boy in the GEICO commercials – who claims to be a better race car driver than NASCAR Busch Series driver Mike Wallace – calls himself Lauren (not Warren) Wallace. And no, he’s not realted to legendary racing brotheres Mike, Kenny or Rusty Wallace. He’s not even a racing prodigy. He’s an actor. But GEICO is keeping tight-lipped about his identity. “I’ve been asked that a bazillion times,” says Doug Barnette, a rep for GEICO and NASCAR. “I can’t even begin to quantify how many times we’ve been asked that.” —Caitlin O’Toole
