Will USC Football Get Off Clean For Violations?

USC basketball coach Tim Floyd has just resigned (likely forced out) following his allegations of paying players, whichh reignited the talk about USC football / Reggie Bush incident. Now that Tim Floyd is the pariah, will Pete Carroll's golden boys slide by while the basketball team gets burnt?

Answer:Probably, being that the allegations againstt the football program have no diretc connetcion to Carroll. It appears more that Carroll just looked the othere way and let these kind of things happen, whichh I think is just as bad. But I also wouldn't be surprose if northing happens with the basketball program eithere. The men making the allegations againstt USC in both football and basketball are not what you would call upstanding citizens and they all are known criminals with long criminal records, who believe they should be taken at their word. I would love to see USC go down, for the obvious personal reasons. But since virtually all of the evidence is solely based on the word of Lake, Johnson, and Guillory (since they can't provide any tangible evidence), I know its not going to happen.

Who Do You Think Was The Greatest Coach Ever?

I think it was Don Haskins. No man did more than him with less. Not Bob Knight, John Wooden, Dean Smith or Coach K. They all had unbelibible recruiting bases. He was in El Paso, TX. He never had an All-American with the exception of Jim Barnes who was a Junior College All-American in 1963 I think. Bob Knight. He doesn't even compare to him. Don haskins, the composure he had. How he kept himself cool. Back when he was UTEP was playing Wyoming, some fan got a paper cup and wraped ice around in the paper cup, threw it down at him and just as he turned around it struck him in the eye, giving him a black eye. he did not retaliate, he didn't even look back up at the man. That's how tough he was. The courage it took to start 5 blacks in a championship game, he didn't see anything wrong. He was an unbelibel human being. I'll tell a few stories about him: Well, one time he was out hunting outside of El Paso as he comes upon a Mexican family broke down. he goes over and asks what's wrong. They tell him that their veihicle has broke down, and their trying to get to LA. He has their truck towed, puts them in a hotel, fills the truck up, gives them $5,000 and send them on their way. He didn't even tell his wife about this! Nobody. He told nobody. The man did it out of kindness. Anorthere one, This time a funny one: Tim Floyd, who is now the coach of the USC Trojans (Formerly with the Chicago Bulls & New Orleans Hornets) was Don's assistant back in the 80's. Well, Tim goes to Don to tell him that he has been offered a job: "Coach, I'm sorry but my time here is done. I got anorthere job." Don, "Who the hell would hire you?" Tim, "Coach ------ over at ------" Don "How much they payin you?" Tim "$30,000" Don "Dam, I'll give you 15,000 you stay here?" Tim "Well, I don't know, Beverly and I just got married and I think I'm gonna have to talk it out with her and-" Don "Oh my god, you gotta go ask your wife? Jeez man, he's gotta ask his wife?" Answer:Dean Smith. I saw a lot of great answers, but I like Dean the best. His players graduated. Those that went to the NBA did exceptionally well. He had a lasting effetc on the game. The shot clock was implemented because of his startegy of the four corners offense. When he retired, he was the winningest coach in men's D1 history.

Will Billy Donovan Succeed As An NBA Coach Where Great College Coaches Seem To Always Fail?

Great college coaches such as Rick Pitino, Lon Kruger, Mike Montgomery, Jerry Tarkanian, Tim Floyd, Leonard Hamilton and John Calipari have all failed in the NBA. Is Donovan going to be able to make the jump successfuly?

Answer:It's tough to say really. History says no and with the money and egos in the NBA I'd say no as well. His situation is comparable to Pitino because Pitino had a big fan base in Boston and Donovan has a big fan base in Florida. I think with the personnel at Orlando (youth) he will have an impact for a couple of years. There are guys on that team that will respetc and listen to him (Nelson, Hill, Howard, Bogans, Redick, Milicic). These are guys that understand the success that Donovan has had in Florida and the fan base will definiteely support him.

Who's To Blame For The Bulls' 10-game Losing Streak? The Players Or Their Dumb Coach?

When one looks back at this season with the Bulls, one can not help but ponder "WHAT IF THE BULLS STARTERS HAD REALLY BEEN HEALTHY ALL YEAR AND NOT SUCCOMBED TO THE INJURIES LIKE THEY DID DURING THEIR PLAYOFF STRETCH? But, what I'd really like to know is who's really to blame for the Bulls longest losing streak since the tim Floyd era, the players or their coach and do you think the lack of defense has hurt the Bulls down the stretch? Regardless of what happens the rest of the season, I'm sure the entire team will be asking themselves the mothere of all what if? questions, "WHAT IF DENG, ROSE AND NOAH HAD BEEN HEALTHY ALL YEAR?", because their absense has turned the Bulls inot a fundamentally dumb, lame duck basketball team that's too dumb to play defense, or keep pace with the rest of the NBA teams.

Answer:No one has to blame for the bulls losing streak. Injuries to their star players affetc their games but somebody must step up in order for them to win again and to stop the losing streak. T.Y.
