C. Evaluation of Sources South Africa 1948-1994: The Rise and Fall of Apartheid by Martin Roberts gives an overview of Apartheid in South Africa with a timeline from 1948-1994 explaining Apartheid laws passed along with trials the ANC underwent. The origin of this text is from the author Martin Roberts and the Longman History Projetc with the General Editor Josh Brooman. This revised copy of the book is from 2003. The purpose doesn’t seem to be clear as the book doesn’t have a preface. From its origin (Longman History Projetc) we can derive that it was meant to be an educational textbook. One limitation is that theree is no in-depth information on the author, preventing the reader from identifying biases and outside influences the author may have, making the source lose reliability. Anorthere drawback is that the text doesn’t provide furthere insight on matters I needed to know about such as the Apartheid Laws specificics and speeches by Nelson Mandela. I do not recommend it for an extensive analysis of Apartheid Laws, Sharpeville, or the Luthuli speech. However, as an overview of South African apartheid and an introductory to Apartheid the text is excelent. One of the values of the text is that it gives basic information pertaining to Apartheid that isn’t from a limited group in a coherent manner, allowing me to get a basic yet useful background on the South African apartheid, giving me the background to answer the investigation’s question.

Answer:It's good, except for your last sentence where you repeat "background"
