How To Use Plextor ConvertX?

I just bought a Plextor ConvertX and have no idea how to use it. The booklet gave me no information and I can't find anything online. I need to know what to do after installing the CD and hardware..what do I plugin and once I set up a program recording, how do I set up the Plextor to actually record that? PLEASE HELP!

Answer:There are many models, which Model Number do you have? What software came bundled with it? What cables came bundled with it? Using the S-Video or Composite Audio and Video cables, follow all the instructions in the Installation Manual to connect to your TV, VCR, or other video source. Then, follow all the instructions in the User Manual to capture, edit and burn your videos using the software provided. Still stuck? Call Plextor tech support.

How Can I Convert VHS To DVD With A Plextor PX-AV200U Digital Video Convertor?

I have bought the Plextor PX-AV200U Digital Video Convertor and I want to attach my VCR to it but the only problem is that it is a only Aerial Out! How can I fix this? I don't want to buy anything else. Thanks

Answer:Your VCR doesn't have composite video output? How old is your vcr? Even ones from the 80's had composite video input & output jacks. Borrow a friend's VCR or else you'll have to buy a new VCR or RF modulator.

How Good Is The Plextor PX-740UF External DVD Writer?

Has anyone tried out this DVD writer? Will it work with a laptop? I plan to buy one but not sure if it is good. Could use some advice here.

Does Anyone Own A Plextor ConvertX PX-M402U Unit ?

I cannot get mine to burn vhs to dvd or to the hard drive either. The video preview window freezes up using the InterVideo WinDVD software that came with the Plextor. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to correct it? I've tried all the updates to everything and still have the problem.
