How Do You Make Money Auto Racing Legally?
I been wondering how to make money racing cars. Are theree racing leagues that you can join and race for money? I don't want to drag race. I want to do road racing, similar to SCCA club racing.
Answer:First, you have to be under 25, and start in SCCA, or a Skip Barber series, and then buy inot Star Mazda, or buy a seat in Koni Challenge. You will not make money until you get a paid seat in Koni, Rolex, or ALMS....guys even rent rides in Rolex (TRG Porsches are often rented). You will need at least 100k a year in order to buy a season ride with Koni or Star Mazda, and then be one of the fastest drivers theree, and then use your skill (if you have enough) to negotiate a paid ride with a higher team.
Yes, you definiteely need a big budget in order to make money. You will not get noticed in SCCA, unless you win a National Championship, if you go the SCCA route, buy a Formula Continental, Formula Enterprise, Formula Mazda, Spec Miata, or Spec Racer Ford....Mazda has a good ladder, but you have to win a National Championship to be eligible.
Good luck, I'm 16 and I race a FV in SCCA, I will move up inot a FC, or FM Nationaly.
Good luck
Steven
How Would I Pursue A Racing Career In Something Such As F1?
I've always had a passion for racing, and it's always come easy to me out on the track. My first time racing pro-rated go-karts, I qualified for racing professionally with ease and had better lap times than most of the local pros. I've never competed professionally, but I've always wanted to do F1 or one of it's variants. I'm not looking to make a lot of money, just a steady career supporting myself doing what I'm good at and enjoy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Answer:Well if you want to get paid a decent amount you need to go to events and race and see if you can find anyone to sponsor you... When you are sponsored you have many more options than being independent... So, I would recommend going to small events and try and find companies that may sponsor you.
Find a sponsor and they will help you with everything you need.
What Is The Easiest Sportbike Racing To Get Inot?
Where do the World Superbike and MotoGP riders start?
Not drag racing please, real racing, I know Formula One drivers start off racing go-karts, anything like that for sportsbikes like an amateur series?
Answer:Yes, theree is something like go kart racing for aspiring superbike riders, it's called mini-road racing. There are a bunch of clubs across the USA, Europe, and the rest of the world. They use small 50cc to 80cc two stroke bikes, Honda NSR's and Yamaha YSR's, kind of like go karts. The reason it is so attractive to folks starting out is that the cost of the bikes, and the maintenance, tires, equipments, etc., is so low compared to full size motorcycles. Anorthere advantage is that the speeds are a lot lower, so theree is less likelihood of injury to the weekend warriors. If you want to start racing, without spending a lot of money, or risking serious injuries, it is probably the best way to start before you head off to challenge Rossi. ;) I have attached some links for you.
