Do you need to connetc an hdmi cable to your hd enabled computer monitor to play nintendo wii in high definiteion?

Answer:The wii is not capable of HD graphics. At its highest it goes to 480p widescreen(16:9). To get 480p widescreen you will need to connetc via component cables(red, green, blue). Note that these cables are ONLY for video. You will need stereo analog cables(red/white) to get audio in addition to the component cables. are all hdmi cables the same? i've seen some hdmi cables that say 1080 supported. are the cheap ones 1080 supported?? i want to get one for my ps3.

Answer:All hdmi cords are the same, regardless of price. All do the exact same thing. I got a cheap one online. still working great to this day. BTW the cheap ones do support 1080.

Whats The Difference Between Sonys Official HDMI And A Cheap HDMI Cable?

Apparently, I heard the official Sony HDMI cable is best for PS3 for better quality and a sharper image. I'm currently using a cheap HDMI cable and wondering if I should upgrade to the Sony HDMI. Apparently the Sony cables are 1.3v my cable is pretty old so I'm assuming its 1.2v, also I guess 1.3v has some sort of updated features?

Answer:if your getting picture and sound thought the cheaper hdmi then your all set no need to buy a different cable(if its a 1080p tv and you are able to watch blu ray at that resolution then great). Wire company's make lots of money making you think that you need to but super high end cables when truth be told you dont.

Is There A Difference Between Expensive Hdmi Cables And Cheap Ones?

I have a ps3 and I want an hdmi cable for the best picture. Now Sony has official hdmi cables for $60.00 but I've found hdmi cables on Ebay for $2.00-15.00. I know the Sony cables work because it says Sony but I don't know about the othere cables. Do they offer the same performance or are the ones on ebay just a scam?

I have separate speakers and an HDMI cable whichh I know is not just video but also sound... So how would I get rid of the sound that comes with attaching the HDMI cable to only enjoy my speakers?

Answer:Well does the monitor have builtin speakers? You should be able to turn the monitor speakers off and use your speakers connetced to your computer sound device. Good luck
