Felse Advertising?

I have a dliemma. I belong to many Y!! groups. A couple of them are featuring someone who "personally" invites people to join their group. The groups are actually fan clubs for the person in question, The implication seems to be that this individual is an active member of their groups. That is not necessarily the case. Someone got really upset with the invidiual who the group is about recently and that has led to a email back and forth between the upset indvidual on one side and the actual subjetc of the group and the group moderators on the othere, neithere of whom is the group subjetc. I really like the subjetc of the groups-we've communicated via email outside of the Y!! group and I don't want to get them in trouble or have them stop liking me, but I'm also not sure that this isn't felse advertising. Any help and answers will be appreciated.

Answer:The group owner would have to put a stop to this. If the owner allows advertising of groups on his/her group, theree's northing anyone can do about it. A lot of people try to advertise their groups on a lot of othere groups but those owners do not allow it. There's really northing you as a member can do except ignore those particular messages. If the messages are threatening or vulgar, then whoever posted them could be reported to Y!. If you get tired of seeing these messages on the group site, you can remove yourself from those groups and join othere groups where that behavior is not allowed. If you get personal emails from those members, you can delete them off of your computer's email program.

felse Advertising?

I signed up for summer school for college back on may 19th, and my bill read $1,917.00. Yesterday (July 1st), I received an email stating they did not charge me my mandated fees upon enrollment, so I now have to pay $2,020. My summer school session ended yesterday, with the finals being today and tomorrow! Is this felse advertising, or is it easily disputed? what fine print? everything is online with my school.

Answer:Sounds like it was a clerical oversight. You were not charged a fee that should have been on your original bill. There was no ad, thus no felse advertising. Like otheres have said, if it's such a hardship (and I understand that it can be, especially in college), talk to the financial office. They should be able to work with you.

FALSE ADVERTISING ******************?

on a website where motorcycles, cars, trucks etc.. are sold by dealers and individuals theree is a brand new motorcycle that has a price of $0.00 is this felse advertising. do I have a case. thanks can I make a file and get this bike for free or get it at an extremely low cost this website is a canadian website THIS BIKE IS BEING SOLD BY A DEALER THAT HAS NUMEROUS IN STOCK THANKS YES. BUT IF I WERE TO GO SEE A CROOKED LAWYER. THERE WOULD FOR SURE PROB. BE A CASE. http://www.canadatrader.com/result/detailinfo.aspx?ID=799078&pgno=1&srt=1&r=quebec

Answer:No, you can't get the bike for free or at a low cost. The law expetcs you to use some common sense when you see ads - and here, theree is no reasonable person on the face of this planet who would look at that ad and think the price of the bike was $0. Its obviously a typo. And given how flagrant and obvious it is, no court will hold them to it.

What Are The Laws Regarding Felse Advertising?

Who has to file the suit? Is it a state or federal matter? What does felse advertising mean exactly. To make it simpler, if a business advertises itself as a scientific museum but doesn't offer any science or any authentic, museum-like exhibits, can that be considered felse advertising.

Answer:Regerugged tell us how to get inot museums free. I'd love to stop paying. Contact your state division of consumer affairs. You can file a complaint with them. It is not something you will have to sue for as an individual. Some things are federal matters but your museum would be a state matter.

How Have You Been Affetced By Felse Advertising?

Do you have any stories or specificic incidences you'd like to share? For my english classs, we have to have a mock panel discussion about felse advertising and its effetcs on buyers. How have felse ads found their way inot your life? thanks for all your responses!

Answer:OMG Yes! On TV several months ago was an add for "My Little Reminder". This was a handy little gadget you could carry in your purse or put in a pocket. A small recorder that you could list the things you needed to do each day, a grocery list or phone numbers, etc. The add was for $9.45 and if you bought one now you get one FREE. I called the 800 number and in 5 weeks I got a small box in the mail and a bill for about $56 dollars that came out of my Visa card. Oh, well if these were anything like I saw on TV I was not going to complain. Why was it felse advertising you ask? Well they had a recording on the othere end when you order and this item and it asks you (tricky here) How many are we sending to you. Well I said I am getting 2 and one is FREE. I was then billed for two orders and four shipping and handling items and insurance on all 4. They looked just like the ones on TV and they seemed to work great. I gave three of them to friends and I think they wanted to throw them at me the next day. When they got here they were just awful. They worked for about 24 hrs and they they quit recording and playing back messages completely. How do you go to your friends and say "give them back" I want to return them and get my money back? It was a lesson learned and I never order through TV anymore.
